About
A living
discipline.
The Game Changer Way did not begin as a program or method.
It emerged through years of living and working in environments where pressure, performance, and identity constantly meet.
Sport was one of the earliest of those environments. It offered structure, belonging, and challenge. But it also revealed something deeper — that what we carry in life inevitably shows up in performance.
Pressure has a way of exposing what is present. Over time this became impossible to ignore. The way we think. The way we carry ourselves. The way we meet conditions. These shape how we perform, how we lead, and ultimately how we live.
That realisation marked the beginning of a deeper inquiry.
The Inquiry
For as long as memory reaches, there has been a curiosity about the deeper nature of life and experience. What is consciousness? What is this reality we are living in? What sits beyond what we currently understand?
These questions sit in the background as life unfolds. For many years the search looked like the pursuit of becoming better. Better performance. Better thinking. Better outcomes.
But gradually the direction of that search began to change. What began as the pursuit of optimisation became something deeper — an inquiry into clarity. Into the relationship between state, perception, and expression.
That inquiry continues to this day.
The Work
Today the work is shared with athletes, teams, leaders, and organisations exploring how clarity, pressure, and performance intersect. The environments vary — from sport to leadership environments, from teams and organisations to founders and individuals navigating complexity.
But the question beneath the work remains simple: how do we stand in the conditions we face?
The Game Changer Way does not aim to fix people or manufacture performance. It is a discipline centred on seeing clearly, standing coherently, and allowing performance to emerge as the natural expression of that state.
Life
Life itself continues to refine the work. Fatherhood. Partnership. Relationship — with self, with others, with life itself. Responsibility. Love.
Everyday life continues to be the place where the principles behind the work are refined — if we are paying attention.
A Living Discipline
The Game Changer Way is not separate from life. It is the expression of a lived inquiry — shaped by experience, challenge, reflection, love, and responsibility.
This work is not something I do. It is something I live. It is something held seriously, and shared with care.
Not as a system. But as a way of standing in the world.
Vision
A world where life is lived and expressed in truth.
Mission
To bring truth into action.
Purpose
To inspire people to live their truth.

Tom Wickham is a coach, mentor, speaker, podcast host, facilitator, and founder of The Game Changer Way. Through Game Changer Coaching & Mentoring, he explores leadership, pressure, performance, and what it means to live and express authentically.
Tom's work has been shaped as much by life's defining moments as it has by elite sport, leadership, and business — including representing the Kookaburras, Australia's Men's Hockey Team, and competing at two Olympic Games. Today, that work has evolved far beyond performance alone.
At the heart of The Game Changer Way sits a foundational orientation.
Truth meets us where we are.
From that place, performance is understood as expression, leadership as the presence we embody, and life as something we get to participate in fully.
Tom refers to this as The Golden Thread — the essence we all carry. It is the thread that runs beneath noise, pressure, expectation, and identity, reconnecting us with what feels most alive, most authentic, and most deeply ourselves. It is where clarity emerges, truth is felt rather than performed, and where Tom describes feeling completely "plugged in" — connected to our own internal power source.
For Tom, pressure isn't the enemy. It's one of life's greatest teachers — revealing where we've become disconnected from ourselves and inviting us back to what is true. He believes clarity isn't found by escaping pressure, but by transforming our relationship with it.
Across every expression of The Game Changer Way, the intention remains the same:
To inspire people to live their truth.

Jake Harvie is a coach and mentor with Game Changer Coaching & Mentoring, working with leaders, athletes, and teams on what it means to perform, lead, and live from a place of clarity rather than force.
Jake's work has been shaped by a life spent at the intersection of pressure and presence — including representing the Kookaburras, Australia's Men's Hockey Team, and competing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Today, that work has evolved far beyond performance alone.
At the heart of Jake's work sits a simple recognition.
Performance is expression.
From that place, performance is no longer something to force or prove — it becomes an expression of what is already whole. Jake's work is not a toolkit for becoming more, but a practice of removing the distortion that stands between a person and their most coherent, natural expression. When state is clear, performance follows — not as something forced, but as something lived.
Across every expression of his work, the intention remains the same:
Because when we commit to being, the game changes.
